The platform ships a Rego-based (Open Policy Agent) rules engine. Teams can compose throttling, quota and rate-limit policies using plain English sentences such as “Free tier: 1 000 calls/day, hard stop, resets at UTC midnight.” Policies compile to WebAssembly and execute at the edge, eliminating latency penalties.

Blobr maintains a certified Stripe app. Metered usage is pushed to Stripe Usage Records every six hours via idempotent queues, supporting prepaid credits, post-paid invoicing and one-time purchases. The integration handles tax compliance for 45+ countries and auto-generates credit notes when overages are refunded.
